1 inspiration deserves another

DH Lawrence was the inspiration for the name but the inspiration in the food comes courtesy of Chef Craig French. He carefully sources the best regional and local produce to create his culinary wonders.  A clever chap is Craig. His original menu offers a range of dishes to suit the most simple or refined of palates. Whatever, you choose, you may want to use your napkin to mop up the drool as you wait for your order. No-one will see.

The contemporary décor uses lovely warm colours and features new discreet corners if you’d like a more intimate meal with a certain someone. Feast on 3 courses of sublime deliciousness in a sophisticated, convivial atmosphere, waited on by attentive restaurant staff who’ll make you feel welcome.

After dinner, you can walk it off a little around our lovely grounds, retire to the Oaks bar and lounge for a drink or take a nightcap up to your room and dream about the delicacies you’ve just savoured.

The Lawrence restaurant is open all day, for anything from light snacks to 3 course indulgences.
