2 rosettes for being utterly scrumptious

It’s well known, this is the place to come for the best French cuisine in Manchester. It hasn’t won to AA rosettes for nothing.

You might want to use your napkin to mop up the drool when you first see our menu. Keep your cool. Renowned Head Chef Paul Beckley presents fine French cuisine with a British twist. Classic dishes such as the signature Chateaubriand, and firm favourite Dover Sole, nestle alongside more contemporary creations like Goosnargh duck with pickled red cabbage and fondant potatoes. Chef's expertise and discerning eye for the finest ingredients ensure that dining at The French Restaurant is an experience long-remembered. Just remember who might be sitting at the next table before you go to lick your fingers. Posh and Becks ate here on their first date and many a President and member of Royalty has graced this restaurant.

If you like your wine (silly question), connoisseurs will discover that our cellar holds one of the finest collections of French wines Manchester has to offer, including sought-after classics from vineyards such as Chateau Pichon-Longueville Baron and Rayne-Vigneau.

The Gastronomique menu at The French Restaurant can be booked from Tuesday to Friday and offers excellent value for money with two, three or four course options from £29.

After dinner, you can walk it off a little around lively St Peter’s square or you could  move on to the Wyvern Lounge for a cocktail and some celebrity spotting.
